BENEFITING: LIFECYCLE INC
EVENT DATE: Jul 17, 2016
At the age of 16, I was dianoged with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. After 2.5 years of chemotherapy, surgeries, hospitalization and the most grueling battle I hope to face in my lifetime, I beat Cancer and was able to call myself a "Survivor". This year will mark 11 years of living as someone whose life was forever changed by the disease. As a way to give back and support cancer research in Rhode Island, I am participating in a bike-a-thon around Rhody to cycle out cancer. Please help me to ensure that others may have the possibility to call themselves a Survivor and thrive in this life cancerfree.
My friends and I will be participating in a 25 mile road race around Southern Rhode Island on July 17th.
Ride ‘Round Rhody is a bike-a-thon held each summer to raise funds for local cancer treatment.
Since 2009, participants have generated more than $300,000 for local cancer treatment. These funds have been distributed to local hospitals to provide cancer services, including clinical trials that have a national and even global impact
Nearly 1,000 cyclists and volunteers have joined the effort
