My family and I (my husband,3 year old daughter Lily-rain & myself) moved at end August at the time my husband had a great new job as a bar manager. 2 weeks later the hostess/wife of owner said she got "bad vibes" from some of the new employees and he along with a busboy were fired. He's trying to find out what can be done with wrongful termination. After that the apartment we were waiting for wouldn't let us sign since he no longer had a job. We managed to get short term places while job hunting/saving/my getting back on major medicine.
He's been doing side jobs & training for security which he should be officially start next week. Also doing apps & Interviews for a 2nd job. Things where getting better after what happened slowly but better- place to stay, jobs lined up,some money coming in,food, showers, clean clothing basic stuff but great.
Anyways we where living in a rented studio paying every couple weeks as we save to get a real apartment. But on Tuesday (27th) evening the owner said that the building was doing work/remodeling and we had to leave by noon on Thursday. We were paid for another about week & 1/2 which will be refunded. Unfortunately since its not a regular rental place with agreement nothing we can do.
With the money we have/had saved we put almost everything in storage & packed a duffel bag, back pack & a tote bag with basic clothing, personal hygiene, snack food, etc and now we have those on our daughters old stroller looking at homeless shelters. But so far-3:00pm today- everything is full and can't take us.
My husband did a side job today for extra money in hopes of staying in a cheap hotel rather then the streets.
We have some money but not enough to get a place. Probably most will be used for food for Lily-rain and a night or 2 somewhere if cheap enough. Until Eric starts regular job(s) going to keep doing temporary stuff if only for food money and then start back saving once regular paychecks start.
