Initiating change

Perhaps all ills cannot be corrected. I started this page as the pebble to start concentric waves in an ocean of grief. See More

THE STORY:

The Story Imagine this. Your elderly mother goes into the hospital behind a simple slip and fall, and a week later she dies. It was on May 15th of 2013 when I lost my dear mother. It was one of those “mixed” blessings as she had been ill for sometime but her quality of life had deteriorated beyond the point of recovery, so in a way, death set her free. Before that of course my father worked tirelessly to care for her. I also helped out on occasion. Well, more precisely, when he let me. There was only enough of an insurance benefit to arrange for an elegant funeral service. The resulting decrease to my father’s income has affected his finances sharply. Sue the hospital you say? Yes we tried that also. Unless your life is counted as having value there’s nothing to really sue for according to the attorney. He said this $3,500 into the investigation. Undoubtedly, you’re saying this is the story of so many Americans in this day and age, and I’m quick to agree. The day may even come when together we’ll be able to right a lot of these wrongs. Until then I’d like to facilitate the change of one close to me, and hopefully, just hopefully, others will be motivated to call upon their better angels and do the same. The Ask Love of his life gone, resources depleted, and no suitable retirement. I'm doing this both as a correction for the slights against my father and as a memorial to my mother. He was never the absent father or husband, it might be said perhaps he is too responsible, if you can imagine that. That being said, I’m asking for the small donation of $0.25 from 200,000 people. I believe this should allow for any unforseeable issues in the future. Thank you in advance for helping me in correcting some very painful wrongs in father’s life.
