BENEFITING: GHANA SCHOLARSHIP FUND INC
EVENT DATE: Oct 12, 2014
Call me crazy but I'm doing it again! I was on the fence all summer as I was training for the Chicago Marathon. Should I or shouldn't I? I realized to get me to run 26.2 I needed a really good reason - and this is it! I'm running to raise money for the Ghana Scholarship Fund (GhanaScholarshipfund.com) This small but mighty not-for-profit provides scholarships to kids in the Volta region of Ghana West Africa to go to high school and college. For a relatively small amount of money (about $500 for high school and $1000 for college) a person's life can be changed for the better. This educational opportunity not only helps the kids but also their community. My muscles will be burnin' so kids can be learnin'! Thank you - your contribution will change lives!
