BENEFITING: The Ellie Fund
ORGANIZER: The Ellie Fund
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
Family & Friends,
I am excited and honored to announce that I will be running the 2015 Boston Marathon in support of the Ellie Fund! The Ellie Fund fights breast cancer by easing its effect on woman, men and families across Massachusetts. The Ellie Fund provides critical support services for transportation to medical appointments, childcare, light housekeeping, groceries, as well as prepared and delivered meals.
I will be running with my close friend Jeff Harrelson as we join the John Hancock Non-Profit Program. Founded in 1995, the Ellie Fund looks forward to celebrating its 20th year with the same event that ignited the Ellie Fund’s fundraising efforts. The Boston Marathon was the catalyst for the Ellie Fund’s fundraising efforts, as the co-founders, Jeff & Eliot Popkin, ran in 1989, 1994, and 1996 to raise funds for their mother Eleanor.
Please consider supporting me on my personal goal to raise $10,000 to help change the lives of the women, men, and their families. Below is how donations will be divided:
- Childcare: $12/hour
- Prepared Meals: $5/serving
- Transportation to Medical Appointments: $25
- Groceries: $50/week
- Housekeeping: $18/week
Thank you so much for your support and kind generosity!
