BENEFITING: National AMBUCS
Elliott recently turned 3 years old and is a pre-schooler and middle-brother. He lives with spina bifida and he is thriving -- equal parts determination, an excellent team of specialists, therapists, teachers, and blessings. Although he has never known any different, Elliott is learning to take steps on feet he can't feel! Around the house, he also scoots, crawls and climbs, uses a small wheelchair, or drives his plasma car with his feet loosely tied to the front. It would be great to see him able to keep up with his preschool classmates, sister and brother outside on the trikes! Elliott is frustrated with needing to be pushed around and he wants to ride fast with his friends. His physical therapist has recommended him for a combination arm-foot trike. This therapeutic trike would provide him with the independence of using his hands to power and steer the trike without a friend pushing him, and would concurrently move his legs. National AMBUCS, Inc. is a charitable organization whose mission is to provide mobility and independence for people with disabilities, including Elliott. They receive hundreds of requests each year for assistance. Everyone receives a trike; but with your help, we can expedite the process from one-to-two years to... maybe six months or less! We'll see. Every little bit helps (and is tax deductible)! Thank you for your consideration and help in getting a trike for Elliott a little bit quicker, while he's still just a tyke!
