Ellis' Juvenile Dermatomyocitis fight!
Organized by: Amy Schaub
This story is about a boy named Ellis! He is now 7 years old. Ellis has a very rare autoimmune disease called Juvenile Dermatomyocitis. This disease affects the muscles and skin. Ellis has been fighting this for over a year and a half. With about 10 daily pills, weekly chemo injections and monthly infusions life is not easy. Ellis suffers from daily headaches and leg pains. Weve been working toward remission until yesterday, Ellis had a severe reaction to his infusion. His lungs closed up and infusions were stopped immediately. Now Ellis has been placed on a new oral medication to replace the IVIG its called Cellcept. We will monitor his liver and bone marrow closely as these can be affected greatly. All we are asking for is first prayers and then a small donation to assist in the costs of doctors appointments, prescriptions and gas for our 2 hour commute to the hospital. If finances are tight just a prayer means so very much. Thank you and take care....
