BENEFITING: Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values
EVENT DATE: Jan 01, 2011
did both, prior to becoming a mother in 2007, although not simultaneously. Over the
course of the past three years I have wanted to partake in a trip abroad that was not for
the purpose of a vacation, but for the purpose of assisting a community in need and
learning about the culture. Needless to say, due to various reasons, this has not happened.
This upcoming January 2011, The Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values will be hosting their Inaugural Winter Break Immersion Trip to San Salvador, El Salvador. This experience will bring together fraternity and sorority student leaders from across the country in a week of service, cultural immersion, and values exploration. (yes, I'm in a sorority)
I am very excited to have been chosen to be among 23 fraternity and sorority leaders from around the country representing 21 affiliations and 18 institutions. This trip will be a great learning experience while also serving the Salvadoran community.
But I have a problem...
In order to participate I must raise $600. $200 of these must be raised by Sept. 12. While I wish I could fund this on my own, I am unable to. So here I am... asking for YOUR help!
Please help me fulfill a mission trip- something I've wanted to do for a long time! I thought it would be worth a shot.
