Help Embarrass Matt Ogle for Charity:
A group of us will be participating in the Mid-Atlantic Tough Mudder race on September 8, 2012. The event is a military-style obstacle course ranging over about 10 miles. We're also taking this opportunity to raise money for an important cause. Not Alone is a 501(c)(3) charity organization that provides programs, resources, and services to warriors and families impacted by combat stress and PTSD through a confidential and anonymous community. Our donations won't be much, but it also won't be nothing, and if our support can help just one person who volunteered to defend the United States get through a difficult time in his or her life, then it's so much more than worth it. And just on the off chance that isn't enough for you, Matt Ogle has agreed to submit to various humiliations based on how much money we can raise.
We'll base the embarrassment on the level of fund raising as of the end of the day August 27, which gives us just over a month, but will keep the fundraising link open past that.
We also want to note that all proceeds go to directly to Not Alone and none of it will be funding the actual race entry fees for the team.
at $250, Matt will wear American Flag, 1.5" inseam shorts during the Tough Mudder
at $500, Matt will wear those absurd shorts, and shave his beard into some ridiculous shape to be determined later
at $750, Matt will do the above 2 items and carry a 12kg (24#) kettlebell during the entire Tough Mudder event
at $1,000, The above outfits will be replaced by a Richard Simmons outfit, to include a wig and carry the aforementioned kettlebell
at $1,250, Matt will dress like Richard Simmons, carry a kettlebell and shave his legs
at $1,500, Matt will do the previous, and tackle the Arctic Enema and Electroshock Therapy obstacles blindfolded
and if we get to $2,000 we'll crowdsource an even more diabolical humiliation.
Please help us humiliate our good friend Matt and raise money for this great organization.
