Embassy Of Healing
Organized by: Kristin Hogan
The Embassy of Healing is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to provide services to the most vulnerable populations: homeless and /or abused women and children in the Denver Metro area. It is a model to be used across the nation. The rapidly rising cost of housing in Denver is causing unprecedented numbers of families to become homeless or to have housing instability. The situation continues to escalate as the living wage in Denver (with no public assistance) is over $57,000!
Our project, People’s Place of Hope, will provide safe and secure transitional housing for them along with various life skills, job skills and healing modalities. Women with children leaving abusive relationships are ending up homeless as transitional housing and self-sufficiency services are largely unavailable to them. There are over 14,000 homeless children in public schools in the Denver metro area alone. That is a 307 percent increase over the last nine years!
Poverty and low levels of education are often cyclical which creates a “double-generation” experience for children living without housing stability. At People’s Place of Hope we will end that cycle. Our project will offer programs that address educational needs, promote self-sufficiency, and empower the individuals as a key to breaking the “double-generation” cycle.
The Embassy of Healing is proud to announce our newly founded adventure in the beautiful state of Colorado. Our vision is to create a world full of infinite possibilities and empowered hope for those in need and with your help, together, we can make this happen!
WE WANT YOU, WE NEED YOU!! Be the change you seek and help by being a sponsor today!! Our goal, raise $25,000, to expand programs and coordinate services needed for our People’s Place of Hope project.
All proceeds collected will go towards our goal of acquiring a suitable property that fully supports the building and coordination of a self- sustaining community. We will provide safe and secure transitional housing for these women with children. A soft place to land is needed to help transform them into empowered and restored individuals.
Again, with your support, we will continue advocating for a nation where all walks of life and their families are able to access resources and improve their quality of life by moving them beyond limitations.
