Emergency Brain Surgery and Glioma Care

Steve Katz got a bit less talkative, some words didn't come out quite right. Yonina (Andrea) Foster attributed it to being tired---Steve had just had a hard week at work. But then, he started to shuffle his feet, and when they hugged, Yonina noticed that Steve only had one arm around her (unusual for him to give a half-hearted hug). Yonina began to wonder about the slight differences in her husband. She questioned him---he passed it off. Yonina---extremely attentive to details, began wondering---"could this be signs of a stroke"?
After researching and calling in support from others, Yonina persuaded Steve to go in to the Emergency Center---just to get checked out--confirm a clean bill of health.
The good news arrived quickly: not a stroke.
The BAD NEWS came after a long night and day of tests: A Tumor on the left side of Steve's Head. Brain Surgery was scheduled for the following morning at 7:30 AM.
Outcome of a successful surgery: Glioplastoma. One 3 cm tumor was removed, 2 smaller tumors could not be removed. Steve's condition was precarious, and Yonina was very stressed---worn out.
After a few days, the news and condition had sunk in....the journey became: Strengthen and regain cognitive abilities! AND STEVE WAS DOING IT!
Each day, tremendous progress was made! In a little over a week, Steve could go home! On the day of release..............................Steve fell! Back to the Emergency---swelling!
(Now, let me back step a bit and fill in some history.) Steve was the main breadwinner and supporter of Yonina's "Musical Memories"! Yonina's dream of helping others through her musical talents has just started taking off! The two have lived in Germantown, Maryland more than 25 years. They raised a handsome son who now lives in New York. They have been very active in their community, and have been a blessing to those of us who know them.
Without financial help, Steve and Yonina will suffer more than just healthwise. (Just as we all mostly live on a budget, they have been also---trimming extras so they can realize a dream of helping others through Yonina's music.) Steve has been her biggest fan. Without his support and wages, Yonina is at a loss of how bills will be paid. Without his income, she will be forced to work, and not be able to give care to Steve as he progresses through this nightmare.
Can you help? Any amount would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
