BENEFITING: HUMANE SOCIETY OF SOUTHERN ARIZONA
EVENT DATE: Sep 26, 2016
We need your help to give 20 cats a chance at life!
This weekend, a volunteer from Pinal County Animal Control reached out to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, asking for help. Their shelter has almost 100 cats in their care! Because the shelter is overwhelmed, these cats are at high risk of euthanasia. HSSA has room to bring in around 20 of these at-risk cats, so we're making an emergency trip!
HSSA's COO, Brandy Burke, and veterinarian Dr. Susan Bertram, are traveling this morning to transfer the cats into our care. We want to give them a chance, and that means we need to raise the money to bring them into our shelter.
We need to raise $100 for every cat we transfer in, and our goal is to transfer in at least 20 cats. The $100 per cat will cover spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations and cost of medications for sick cats. The average cost per animal in our care is $950 for the length of their stay, but the $100 per cat we raise today will ensure that the cats we bring in today can come into our facility and find loving forever-homes.
Won't you please donate to give these cats their chance at life, and give them the joy of a loving home?
