Franklin County Humane Society's Fundraiser:

Emergency Medical Assistance Fund

Franklin County Humane Society's Photo

THE STORY:

It's that time of year when the shelters get overrun with puppies. To keep puppies out of the stressful shelter environment, we recently took in 4 different litters, a total of 30 puppies, with one litter only 4 weeks old. Sadly, this young litter of 7 is infected with the parvovirus. One puppy has already passed away and another is teetering on the edge. The other 5 are giving a good fight for their life. Unfortunately, this has become an expensive undertaking. One day's worth of vet bills on this litter was $490. In addition the parvo puppies, we have an older Beagle girl who needs surgery to have an anal gland removed. The cost of this surgery is $1200 as long as there are no complications. Our motto is "Together we can do so much more." There has never been a more true statement that could be applied to our current situation. Please consider donating to our emergency medical fund so that we can continue to save lives. Thank you!
