Emergency vet expenses for Reese
Organized by: Kendra Cuyler
I babysit my neighbor's dog -- Reese -- most days -- from about Noon to 11 pm. Last night he got really sick and was throwing up/coughing for several hours. When Kenny didn't come to pick Reese us as usual I called the ER vet in Westville and then took Reese there about 1 hour later. They did an exam and x-rays and suspect kennel cough. They treated him with sub-q fluids and gave him 2 shots to help his throat/coughing. It's 12 hours later and the owner has still not come home. Now I'm worried about him too. I've called the ER vet a few times already today and I have an appointment with another vet for tomorrow. I guess I'm just going to keep watching Reese for any changes.... but I'm so worried. The initial ER vet bill was over $400 and he needs more tests and medicine. I can't afford to pay for his care so I'm asking for help. He's a very sweet dog. Please help me help him. Thank you.
