Emergency Advance Parole for Chantal Chang
Organized by: Deborah Alemu
Recently Chantal received a call from her brother saying that her father had passed away. Days later she found herself compiling all of the necessary documents to be able to apply for advance parole. After visiting the USCIS office in San Antonio and getting approval to travel to France, where she has not been in almost a decade, Chantal was determined to make it to her fathers' funeral. Ten years of being without all of her family coupled with mourning the loss of her father is tragic, however the realization that she would be able to return and see her family left her with bittersweet feelings. Can you donate $10, $15, or as much as your generousity will allow to help even out her emergency credit card charges? Chantal is a beloved member of the University Leadership Initiative (ULI) family in Austin, TX. Having to see Chantal ask permission to travel back to her country of birth, and to see her hurt from the loss of her father who she hadn't seen in many years is difficult but to see her under financial strain because of unjust immigration policy is not tolerable. Let's see what the community can do to support such an outstanding person.
