Emilee Mazur's Memorial Fund
Organized by: Jessica Weaver
The Wells College Class of 2003 has suffered a great loss. Our dear friend and classmate Emilee Mazur passed away on Friday, August 19th, 2016 after a very long and hard fought battle against anorexia. Emilee was a biology major. It seemed fitting because she was the embodiment of life and light. She was incredibly smart, accomplished, and kind and she was my friend. Her struggle and untimely passing is a shock and true loss to the world. Emilee wanted to be a veterinarian. She later changed her mind and became a pharmacist. She was a helper and a healer. It is so unjust that she couldn't survive her own illness. I am asking my fellow classmates, alumns, and friends of Wells to come together to give in her honor. Any amount is most appreciated. We will donate all collected funds to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center of Rochester, NY that took care of her in her final days. In choosing a charity, I truly believe Emilee would want any collection received to support human or animal medicine.
