EMILY LINNEMAN (Linneman Family Trust)
Organized by: rachel miley
Emily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at 14. 2 years earlier she had suddenly lost her father to leukemia. They new they were in for a fight. She at 14 decided the best thing to was to have her leg removed just above the knee to drop her recurrence rate dramatically. Her fight was long and very hard on her young body. She lost function in her heart and bladder. She didn't heal well and had a hard time getting into her prosthetic. After several procedures she was able to at 16 she could walk in her prosthetic well her hair was back and things were looking up. She returned to high school unfortunately that wasn't so positive with several rude remarks, stares, and little help. She stayed positive and met a great boy whom became her boyfriend. Then it happened a lump in her other leg. How is this possible? Even the medical professionals are flabbergasted. But it was true it's back in the other way. Now she goes back and fourth from MD Anderson in Texas and ST Louis Children's hospital. They have removed he lower bond in her leg and done a complete knee replacement. These rounds of chemo are even harder and her veins are weak and have had to b have angioplasty. It's so difficult one parent, 3 children and 6 years of cancer in their face. If a family ever need help this is the one. Besides all of this she suffers from debilitating migraines and body pain. She fights though with all she has and keeps her beautiful smile as much as possible. These funds would be used for not covered medical procedures, copays and deductables living expenses while mother has to miss work to travel with her sick child. Also medical adjustments that will need to be done to their home to make it completely handicap accessible, and to make their vehicles handicap accessible. Lastly any medically necessary travel expenses. Please find it in your heart to help this family.
