On October 20, 2013, my friend and I will be walking, and my dad will be running in the 11th Annual Walk Against Breast Cancer in Holliston. My mother and sister will be manning a water station as well. Last year’s event generated over $53,000! We hope we can count on your support this year.
The Walk is dedicated to one of the Walk founders, Maryellen Miller, who passed away on March 18, 2008 after a courageous 5-year battle with breast cancer. Maryellen was my Godmother. Maryellen’s positive spirit and her work as a breast cancer activist inspires all of us to continue supporting this Walk with a renewed passion.
We need to make a difference in this battle to honor Maryellen and our loved ones. Breast cancer will affect 1 in 8 women in their lifetime. This year alone, 40,000 women will die from this disease. Due to our unique arrangement with Dana Farber, this Walk supports new research and investigation efforts that would not get off the ground without our independent fundraising efforts
