Sarah Heinz House has always been an innovative leader. Girls and boys have been equal parts since 1903, long before the Boys Club movement made a strategic shift to include female members. Today, we draw upon over 116 years of experience to provide programs that help children and teens face and overcome challenges and transform their lives.
Located on Pittsburgh’s Northside, Sarah Heinz House is a safe and welcoming place where diverse youth in grades 1-12 come six days per week when school is out. Serving nearly 1,000 youth through 100+ programs, Sarah Heinz House enables kids to have fun with friends eating a free, nutritious dinner, discovering their talents, playing sports and getting ready to lead the world they’ll soon inherit. “Their empowerment movement towards youth is inspiring. I commend their dedication to each and every member of our community.”
Summer camps help kids “unplug” from technology, stay active and fit and it helps working parents rest easy about their children’s safety.
