BENEFITING: Impact Network
In states where medical marijuana is legal, there are 25% less opiate overdoses. Help support IMPACT Network's efforts to mainstream cannabis as a treatment for pain and/or opiate addiction and save our loved ones from overdose and death.
Education: Our scientists and doctors lecture across the country on "Cannabis as the Solution to the Opiate Epidemic." We recently held a live-streaming conference on Cannabis For Pain in Denver, CO. We will be creating printed materials for doctors, patients, and legislators to understand how cannabis can be effective for pain management as well weaning off opiate medications or heroin.
Research: We are launching IRB-approved studies in conjuction with top cannabis-recommending doctors to study the impact of cannabis use on frequency and severity of different forms of pain, as well frequency and amount of opiate use. We plan to publish the results of these studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals and present preliminary data at scientific conferences. This work will reduce stigma of cannabis treatment for addiction and open up a pathway for rehab centers that treat patients with cannabis.
Advocacy: We are working to legalize medical marijuana at state and federal levels in order to provide patients with pain an alternative to addictive and potentially deadly opiate prescriptions. We are also working with organizations to pass legislation add addiction as a qualifying condition for medical marijuana in states hit hard by the opiate epidemic, like Maine.
Donors: We are funded through grants from nonprofit organizations, community businesses, event sponsorships, and individual donors like you.
IMPACT Network's mission is to Improve Marijuana Policy and Accelerate Cannabinoid Therapeutics. We are a 501c3 nonprofit located in Denver, CO serving the nationwide cannabis patient community.
Proceeds from this campaign will go to Morgan Wellness Foundation to aid in research towards ending the opiate epidemic with the help of cannabis.
