A six-year old died this week when he was pulled into a wood chipper. He was a first grader on spring break helping his dad. Eithty-eight children died in the USalone from child labor-related accidents in 2010.Thousands of children die each year due to work in hazardous labor around the world. IIECL is working to end child labor, protecting children's human rights, and assisting them to find a path to education and a better, longer life. Want to be a part of preventing a child from life threatening injuries or death and ending child labor? We urgently need your help today.
IIECL will be funding 10 grants to assist small NGOs around the world to end child labor in their local communities. Whether it's child labor in agriculture where a child is exposed to pesticides, gold mining, construction, making charcoal or picking coffee, tea or cocoa pods, IIECL is working to find practical and effective solutions and supporting local organizations to have an increased impact in their communities. We had hundreds of organizations that have applied. We need your financial support to assist more communities. Each grant is $500 and can go a long way in many very rural and improverished communities. Join us and make a contribution to help make a difference in a child's life.
