End Cyberbullying, Show Support for Mariah Anderson
Organized by: Maya Ford
Mariah Anderson suffers from a rare disorder called Chromosome Two Duplication Syndrome and is being cyberbullied. She is only two years old and does not have long to live, and yet what crime did she commit to deserve name-calling and even death threats?
Today's teenagers are becoming more and more cyberbully-like, thanks to the prevalence of smartphones and social media sites. Cyberbullies are becoming bolder and more creative, turning to social media to spread their malice without caring about the consequences. Mariah is just one of the many victims of cyberbullying.
We can stop cyberbullying by spreading the word and donating to NGOs focused on spreading awareness on cyberbullying. By educating today's children about the disastrous effects of bullying online, we can stop our own kids from turning into cyberbullies. Let's help little Mariah Anderson's family cope with the cruel cyberbullying.
