Thank you again for your generous donations!
On Sunday, March 18, 2012, I finished the L.A. Marathon in 8:18. I needed to walk because of an injured hamstring, which affected my run, but not my walk.
You can view my results at
I will also run the Long Beach Marathon in October.
Thank you again!
26.2 miles is nothing compared to the marathon that those with Epilepsy must endure.
According to the World Health Organization, Epilepsy is the world’s most common serious brain disorder. It has no age, racial, social class, national, or geographic boundaries. Epilepsy and seizures affect almost 3 million people of all ages in the United States and nearly 160,000 people have epilepsy in the greater Los Angeles area.
After a person with epilepsy suffers a seizure, they may not be able to eat for many hours while recovering. If you can skip one meal for the benefit of a person who is suffering from seizures, your savings can go to provide resources to help End Epilepsy for them, and others.
- A quarter per mile is $6.55 (near the price of an average lunch)
- 50 cents per mile is $13.10 (near the price of a medium pizza)
- $1 per mile is $26.20. (near the price of an average family dinner)
A donation of $1 would be as greatly appreciated as any other donation and you can remain anonymous if you choose.
