Epilepsy Advocate, our a community of advocates-people with Epilepsy, loved ones, and suportrs-who are dedicated to spreading Epilepsy awaress by local support, attending events, sharing our online testimony, and more. I develop this patient years ago in '99 when I had brain surgery of my right temporal lobe (part of the brain behind the ears). I have Epilepsy and have had seizures since twelve. Now, I will continue with college while working on Epilepsy Advocate community and our goals. Fundraising goes towards Transportation: A lot of our advocates with Epilepsy cannot drive due to seizures. March and November, the EFA and EFVA have events outside our area. Reinbursement for carpool or uber transport ($40 one way) will go a long way. Awaress RAC: Sometimes we want to bestow random acts of kindness to our advocates. From small things like treating a meal to larger things, helping with medication funding, or contributing to services related to their Epilepsy like Paws for a Cause. For EFVA, EFA, AND Paws for a Cause: We would like to give monthly donations to help people like us who struggle with Epilepsy. The same with EFA and EFVA. Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia gives individuals with Epilepsy a one time check towards their medical bills, and things of that nature. Donations help made this happen for me and for others as well. Sharing awareness can be online or in person. A good way to begin our passion is giving speeches as advocates. Toastmasters: Id like to encourage advocates to speak on behalf of their experiences. Getting involved in toastmasters (dues twice a month) will help with that goal. Whatever funds we raise will go to advocates, our community, and random acts of kindness. Please show your support by any amount to help us in our cause. Thank you. Jessica
