Welcome to my 2014 Epilepsy Foundation - Marine Corps Marathon fundraising page!
I'll be running this race on October 26, 2014, in honor and support of my son Chase, who was diagnosed with Epilepsy in 2012. Chase's doctors tell us that he is likely to outgrow it, but there are a great many people for whom Epilepsy is a forever diagnosis. Most people who suffer from Epilepsy have it much worse than Chase does, but that doesn't make it any less scary for me or for Cindy. As parents, we'll do anything we can to raise awareness, raise funding for research, and generally just talk about it.
After I ran the Marine Corps Marathon last year I thought I would never do it again. I was wrong.
There's lots of work to be done before I can run in October. Not only do I need to start training to get these old bones to run this distance again, I need to fulfill my fundraising goal of $1,200.
Click the Donate To This Fundraiser button on the right to sponsor my efforts in meeting my fundraising goal for the Epilepsy Foundation!
No donation is too small, and all contributions are very gratefully appreciated.

The Epilepsy Foundation is dedicated to making sure that people with epilepsy and seizures can experience all that life has to offer. Athletes vs. Epilepsy™ affirms this positive message and embodies it through action.
Athletes vs. Epilepsy is a nationwide program for athletes, coaches, volunteers and fans to raise awareness and money to help fund the Epilepsy Foundation's mission.
For our Athletes vs. Epilepsy, it’s about more than just the race, game, meet, etc. Each of our athletes also raise money and awareness on behalf of Epilepsy Foundation and our fight to stop seizures and SUDEP, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy through efforts including education, advocacy and research to accelerate ideas into therapies.
