We are the only area misiion of The Episcopal Church. We are the people of the 26,000 square mile Navajo reservation. We exist to meet the unmet or ill met needs of the people we serve. We are located in the 4 corners area of the desert Southwest, an isolated and poverty stricken region. with over 50% unemployment. We work to eradicate poverty and carry out programs to address the social issues that accompany poverty and isolation.
Programs in substance abuse and wellbriety, domestic violence, anti racism, healing and wholeness, community development and leadership training enable us to have a significant impact. We are intentional about cultural sensitivity and seek to connect the gospel with the traditional Navajo beliefs and ceremonies.
