This Saturday, September, 9th we will be participating in the second annual NYC Cycle For Heroes.
USMC Sgt. Retired Kirstie Ennis aka actual Marine superwoman suffered multiple injuries and a resulting above-the-knee amputation during a 2012 helicopter crash in Afghanistan. She successfully completed her climb of Carstensz Pyramid, the highest mountain in Indonesia.
Check out Kirstie's spread (no pun intended) in the ESPN Body Issue by Clicking Here.
Cosmo did a profile on Kirstie too which you can view by Clicking Here.
Equinox has been a vital partner for The Heroes Project since its inception – our Beverly Hills Corporate office houses a high-altitude simulation chamber that the climbers train in five times a week, and they lean heavily on our Personal Training staff to support and guide their preparations leading up to the climb.
Just getting the word out about this incredible organization is enough, however if you feel so inclined to sponsor our ride with a monetary donation (nothing is too small) we would be forever grateful.
