I'm excited to annouce I'm running the Chicago Half-Marathon for the very first time as part of Equipo Colibri. Equipo Colibri is a running group where we discuss running goals, renewal energy, gentrification, and tacos. (It's honestly a beautiful thing and if you're down to run and then go get ramen, join us).
I'm also very excited to run on behalf of LVEJO (Little Village Environmental Justice Organization). LVEJO is doing some of the most groundbreaking work in Environmental Justice movement and making La Villita greener and healthier.
So if you're down for clean air and safe drinking water, I'm asking for is a dollar per mile for Environmental Justice. I'm running 13 miles (yikes!) with pace goal of 9 (double yikes!), meaning if you find pennies and lose change -- send those $13 (or any amount really) my way.
