BENEFITING: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
EVENT: Team HITW NYC Marathon 2014
EVENT DATE: Nov 02, 2014
I'm thrilled to run the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon this year with Team Hole in the Wall. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides "a different kind of healing" to more than 20,000 children and families battling serious illness each year, completely free of charge. At camp, they can laugh and enjoy fun activities with other campers without worrying about their medical situations or being limited to their hospital room. In short, they simply get to be kids.
Please help me and my friend Josh Chang in achieving our goals of raising $3000 for this amazing charity. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and will go towards helping support these children so that they can enjoy their camp experience.
More background on The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp was founded by Paul Newman in 1988 and is dedicated to providing "a different kind of healing" to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast, free of charge. It's a community that celebrates the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood where every kid can have an opportunity to "raise a little hell." The Camp serves more than 20,000 children and families annually both at camps located in CT and through the Hospital Outreach Program, which brings the hopeful, playful spirit of the camp to children and families in the hospital setting. Through the generosity of its donors, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp community provides this unique healing experience to children and families in need of care-free moments.
