Erika Kate Hope Alliance is a non-profit organization, started after losing our 4 year old daughter to heart disease. For nearly 10 years, we've been raising awareness and funds for children suffering with heart disease and defects, while caring for these families in the midst of a medical crisis with their child.
EKHA is a local effort with a nationwide reach and has helped more than 850 families, since its inception. We offer support, through social workers, to heart families in deep need. Help is given in the form of gas or grocery cards, paying utility bills or helping with other expenses during their time of uncertainty with their critically ill child. Our greatest asset to heart families, though, is the care we extend to them, while they endure the heavy burdens with their child and are overwhelmed, exhausted and alone in their journey. EKHA Care comes in the form of prayer, correspondences, care packages and visits.
