BENEFITING: TEAM RED WHITE & BLUE
EVENT DATE: May 26, 2013
On May 26th, I will be participating in the 4th Annual Memorial Day Races in the beautiful Berkshire mountains of Western Massachusetts. I am asking for your help to support the outstanding charity sponsor for this race: Team Red White and Blue. Team RWB's mission is to enrich the lives of veterans through social and physical reintegration into the community. While serving for over 5 years as an Army Officer, I had the privilege of working with incredible men and women who, along with their families, made immense sacrifices for our country. I feel extremely blessed to have been able to leave the service in good health, but I know that many of my fellow veterans have not been as fortunate and are forced to overcome significant physical and emotional obstacles every day. Team Red White and Blue is an organization committed to helping veterans and their families resume healthy and happy lives.
Running in these races took on a new meaning for me in the aftermath of the horrific tragedy that occurred in Boston last month. Team RWB had a strong presence at the Boston Marathon – and the spirit of the organization was exemplified when news footage captured a team member removing his Team RWB shirt to create a tourniquet for a victim’s leg. It’s truly an honor to be able to participate in/support another embodiment of America’s spirit and resolve a mere 130 miles from Boston on a weekend as rich in significance as Memorial Day.
Below you will find the link to the organization’s official website (Team RWB is a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization). Personal checks made out to "Team Red White and Blue" are also acceptable if that donation method is preferable for you. Please feel free to contact me at email@example.com if you are interested in that option or have any other questions or concerns. Thank you for your support of this great cause!
