Hello Friends and Colleagues, As most of you know I have dedicated the last twelve years of my life and professional career to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme. I have decided to run the Santa to the Sea 1/2 marathon on December 13th again to raise money for our kids who deserve it so much!! I am very passionate about what we do as an organization...we change and save lives...I have seen it time and time again. I have seen incredible transformations of young people right before my eyes. I have seen young people come from the most heartbreaking environments and through the support, staff and programs at the Boys and Girls Club, they become strong, resilient fighters who become great and have bright futures ahead of them. So if our young people can be strong, I can be strong for them. I am running this 1/2 marathon for the 9,200 plus kids in our program that need us to help them on their path to be GREAT, I am doing this for all the working parents that need us to provide a safe and positive place for their children after school, so they can work and provide for their families. I am doing this because I wholeheartedly believe in our mission! I have began training hard, running three days a week with long runs on the weekends. As I am training I am thinking of the kids who endure so much heartache and dysfunction in their lives and deserve a great future....they deserve so much, this temporary pain is nothing! I made a commitment to raise $1,500 for much needed support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme.. Please help me help over 9200 kids in Oxnard that deserve a GREAT future! You can join my team in running or walking the 5K or 1/2 marathon as a fundraiser or make a tax deductible donation.
