Erin's Uganda Trip
Organized by: erin sherry
currently volunteering with H.E.L.P. International http://www.helpint.org which is a group that started an elementary school in a rural village in Uganda ten years ago and now has 500 students enrolled. They have numerous needs to be met, but most importantly, H.E.L.P. provides the children with two meals a day. Ive been involved in selling the jewelry and handbags made by the Ugandian women at schools, house parties, etc. This is a major way the school gets funded. When I go there, I will help the school social worker with some issues and get more handbags and jewelry to bring back to the U.S. and sell for the Ugandian women. I am doing fundraising to help pay for my airfare, room & board and other travel expenses. I will be happy to share my experience with you and all of my activities when I get back from Africa.
