TFLI & TFLI Fund, Inc. The Tennessee Foreign Language Institute (TFLI) is an agency of the State of Tennessee under the Tennessee Board of Regents, originally established in 1986 by the General Assembly, to promote, encourage, enhance, and facilitate the learning and teaching of foreign languages and cultures for the economic, professional and educational enrichment of the state government and its employees, the business community, foreign language educators, and the citizens of Tennessee.
The TFLI Fund, Inc. (TFLI Fund) is a 501c3 non-profit created as a means to support TFLI and its programs. Through pass-through grants and fundraising events, the TFLI Fund gives direct support to TFLI, which has enabled the organization to provide new programs, scholarships and other community outreach. Through this partnership, TFLI the grantee, oversees the operations of programs from the pass-through grants awarded by the TFLI Fund Board, the grantor.
The TFLI Fund Board and its Directors annually host The TFLI Fund International Food and Wine Tasting in which a percentage of the monies raised at this event are given to TFLI on a non-discretionary basis. Now the Fund uis raising $25,000 for ESL TO GO! Check out the project below.
