My wife's (Jessica Hecht) motto while facing Cancer
August 04, 2017
BENEFITING: Imerman Angels
A long time ago I told my wife I would run a Marathon in her name, that's happening this October. Seeing her motivation and positivity in tough times inspire me to try to help in some way. A cancer diagnosis is a tough, unfair and unpredictable moment in anyone's life but opens up a whole new perspective of living and everything around you. Like my wife says "Life doesn't need to be perfect to be amazing".
I'm running the Chicago Marathon with team Imerman Angels, an amazing non-profit organization that partners anyone, any age, any gender, anywhere and any cancer type seeking support with someone just like them, a "Mentor Angel". A Mentor Angel is a cancer survivor or caregiver who most importantly has faced the same type of cancer.
The money raised here will help Imerman Angels continue their mission to provide personalized connections that enable one-on-one support among cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.
As a personal experience, my wife and I got to know a lot of people that that guided us and inspired while facing cancer, so we know how important it is to pass that experience into new patients or caregivers.
We trully become stronger together.
ANY DONATION HELPS! THANK YOU!
