Dear Friends and Family, Fi…
Dear Friends and Family,

First of all we would like to thank you for contributing to our fund. We have seen through this terrible disaster that our local correspondents have organized the most effective means of reaching and distributing aid to the impacted populations. Most of our people on the ground are Nepalese or have grown up in Nepal as children of expats and foreign aid workers.

In case you haven’t gathered, the government is moving VERY slowly. Doctors and aid workers have been sitting in the airport for days without any direction. They have now begun approaching our teams and we’ve been dispatching them to areas in need of medical attention. The government was taxing aid supplies at 13% and much of the aid that they have started moving is being distributed to the easy-to-reach areas where they have political interest.

Thru our network, our distribution posts and the power of social media, our teams have been identifying areas that haven’t received aid; mostly smaller regions (less than 2,000 people). We identify a local contact, run a needs assessment and organize supplies and trucks to deliver the goods. We’ve set up a collection of properties to sort and package food/supplies thru the night. When bulk goods are distributed, fights break out and a black market develops.

Yesterday we delivered the following:
100 packages for women with small children. Packages include:
• 2-4 person tent
• Large blanket
• Flashlight
• Warm hat for children
• Socks for children/babies
• Sanitary face masks
• Sanitary products
• Food supply

300 Packages including
• Rice
• Lentils
• Noodles
• Biscuits
• Water purifier
• Anti-bacterial soap
• 2-4 person tent

We have also delivered 200 tents, food and med supplies to Bunkot, a village close to the epicenter. Food, blankets and shelter to Dolakha.

Lastly, we are hand carrying the following into Nepal on 5/3
• 35 tents
• 50 blankets
• 50 ponchos
• 15 Pulse Oximeters (requested by a surgeon at Tribhuvan Hospital)
• 300 masks donated by 3M
• Basic med supplies donated by a hospital in MN

We will continue raising funds for villages that we identify and updating our FB, IG and sending a spending report.

We're working to organize benefit concerts in CO and CA. If anybody would like more information or has contacts of artists or other organizations that might want to get involved, please email

Thank you!
