BENEFITING: ERASING THE DISTANCE
EVENT DATE: Oct 25, 2014
In fall 2014 Therapy Space, LLC will be hosting Erasing the Distance, a Chicago based non-profit organization that uses theatre to shed light on issues of mental health. ETD accomplishes its mission by gathering true stories, transcribing them verbatim and then shaping them into monologues performed by some of Chicago’s best professional actors.
The first ever Madison show will be presented free of cost at the downtown Madison Central Library on October 25th. It will feature 5 monologues, all bringing to life mental health experiences of women. Topics covered include such things as depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, substance abuse, and sexual assault. The show itself will be followed by a facilitated discussion by ETD and Therapy Space clinicians.
We are excited to bring this insightful event to our community and your contribution is important! We need to raise $1000, all of which will go towards production costs as well as actors' fees and transportation. Any amount is welcome, we are grateful for your support.
