When we got pregnant with Ethan and Emmitt it was a complete shock as we had been trying for awhile and were starting to talk to the Dr about the possibility of fertility drugs. In April of 2015 They had found a fairly large cyst on one of my ovaries and wanted to check in about a month, so at the end of may I went in for the ultrasound to check my cyst and to our surprise there was not one but two little precious babies in there! I was over the moon because I had always wanted twins! We found out that they were identical twins pretty much right away because their were growing inside the same placenta, which made our pregnancy complicated! By the time I was 12 weeks we had already been to see an MFM Dr. in Fargo, ND. When I reached 16 weeks we were going there for weekly appointments and things didn't look good for awhile. When I was 20 weeks everything started to turn around and things were looking great and at 21 weeks things looked even better! Our MFM even said to us "I think we are finally out of the woods" and told us we could go to Bismarck for our next appointment so we didn't have to travel so far. I started to not feel so great by that week and knew something was wrong. Things didn't look great at our appointment in Bismarck and my husband and I drove to Fargo that evening. We lost Emmitt the next morning on September 23rd 2015, and they were hopeful that Ethan would still make it but God had other plans and we lost Ethan on September 25th 2015. They Were delivered into heaven on September 26th, 2015. We lost them due to twin to twin transfusion syndrome. Not a day goes by that we don't think about our boys! We miss them so very much and we are excited to honor them at the very first Rock and walk in North Dakota.

The TEARS Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity for the community to become involved with a growing and inspiring event. The TEARS Foundation's Rock & Walk is the signature fundraising event for TEARS. This annual event allows registered walkers to “walk” in honor of a child, or simply in support of others. Each team of walkers may also “rock” in the rocking chairs placed at the event site. Rocking chairs signify the heart of the walk, which is to raise funds for families who have lost a baby and are in need of funeral assistance and emotional support services. The TEARS Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that compassionately assists newly bereaved families with their baby’s funeral expenses and with ongoing emotional support. The TEARS Foundation's Rock & Walk event is a time for our community to gather, to walk and to rock, and lift up the families in our local communities who have been affected by the loss of a child. Thank you for helping us support bereaved families in North Dakota. REGISTRATION: Registration is $10, children 12 and under receive free admission. You may purchase a personalized Rock & Walk t-shirt by August 15, 2017. A limited amount of non personalized shirts may be available for purchase at the walk. You may also make your own team shirts
