BENEFITING: KICK4LIFE INC
Justin Etzin lives in New York City and is the Consul General for The Republic of Seychelles to the United States of America. He was brought up in Seychelles, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean. Having traveled all over the world he was introduced to the Holistic approach to living life by his fiancée. They are working on a project in Seychelles to build an Holistic Medical Wellness Centre which will also be a recuperation center for Seychellois that have had major surgery.
Whilst at the United Nations, Justin Etzin was introduced to Kick4Life which uses the power of sport to provided holistic care and support to the most vulnerable youth in Lesotho, southern Africa, a neighboring country of Seychelles in the African Union. Lesotho has been devastated by HIV. The HIV prevalence of this tiny mountain Kingdom is 23.6%. The charity Kick4Life uses the power of sport to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged young people in the world. They are a registered charity based at the Football for Hope Centre in Lesotho in southern Africa, where they deliver a range of projects aimed at supporting vulnerable boys and girls. This includes health education and HIV prevention, voluntary HIV testing, life-skills development, mentoring, support towards education & employment, and the chance to enjoy sport. More than 100.000 children, have been orphaned by the HIV disease in this part of Africa. It is also a beautiful country with a rich culture, and Kick4Life is committed to helping our participants build a brighter future for themselves and their country.
Justin Etzin is passionate about promoting and raising awareness of the use of sport for positive change, and hope to work with Kick4Life to set up a partnership for the disadvantaged youth in Seychelles. He aims to raise awareness for Kick4Life and to set up a non profit in Seychelles for health education and HIV prevention, voluntary HIV testing, life-skills development, mentoring, support towards education & employment, and the chance to enjoy sport.
Seychelles is one of the 54 African States that form part of the African Union and supports the youth of South Africa.
