Eunice's Bday Game Night & Let's Do Some Good!
Organized by: Eunice Yang
EVENT DATE Sep 05, 2014
For my birthday this year, we will be hosting another infamous round of Game Night. We hope that you can join us for the festivities and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and libations starting at 7 p.m., at 325 Berry St., #420 in San Francisco.
Let's also do some good this year! I'm hoping that you will consider donating to an organization that I support that addresses a very basic human rights issue—human trafficking—people are being purchased, sold, smuggled, and disposed of like modern slaves. Human trafficking exploits the most vulnerable in our communities and trap children and adults in lives of misery, where they are abused and forced to work under grueling conditions or even as prostitutes. Human trafficking compels us to seek a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and cultural factors that cause this type of exploitation to exist.
As young professionals and leaders in our community, fighting human trafficking means doing our part to stop this abuse. We can provide survivors of human trafficking with aid and resources to help reintegrate them into healthier parts of society. The National Asian Pacific Islander Prosecutors Association (NAPIPA) is a professional group dedicated to promoting justice in our communities. They promote programs to help eradicate human trafficking. With your help, they can educate the public, train law enforcement, and provide aid to survivors of human trafficking. NAPIPA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation, so unfortunately donations are not tax deductible. But, please consider donating to help some of the most vulnerable. Thanks in advance for your support and love!
