Evan Russell's Fundraiser @ Gonzo's HD Sports
Organized by: Evan Russell
As some may know, I began my journey as a professional golfer at the beginning of the summer immediately following my career at the University of Hartford. I have spent the summer working tirelessly on my game while playing a handful of regional events. I will continue the process by moving to the warm weather of Florida at the end of September throughout the winter months. Being a professional golfer is something I have dreamed of ever since I was a young boy. I knew my passion was golf when I would routinely play 54 holes a day at Links at Lang Farm or wanted to leave little league practice early to go play a quick 9. It is something I have truly worked toward my entire life and will continue to push now that I truly know what it takes. I have enjoyed the process and look forward to working hard for years to come.
I have started this page as a way to submit the entry fees for my fundraising event at Gonzo's HD Sports on September 24th. For those that don't know, it is $200 per team ($50 per person). The format of the fundraiser will be an 18 hole 4-person scramble with a max of 20 teams. There will be a 10am start, as well as a start at 1pm each hosting 10 teams. There will prizes for gross and net divisions. An optional $20 will enter you into closest to the pin, long drive challenge, and skins game. There will also be a 50/50 raffle as well as a silent auction. Lunch will be included, as we will be grilling on site. Gonzo will also be offering beer specials for the event.
There are a few ways to sign-up. You can message me through Facebook, text or call me at 802-598-0419, or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I can tentatively fill your spot but will need the full $200 entry fee by one week before (9/17). I am open to different ways in handling the entry fees, but I thought this might make it easier for everyone. I am very excited have the opportunity to have an event like this, and hope we can have a great crowd!
For those that aren't able to participate in the Gonzo's fundraiser on the 24th but would generously like to donate, this is the place to do so. I can't thank everyone enough for all the support they have given me over the years! It is all very much appreciated.
