BENEFITING: Hopeful Africa
EVENT DATE: Aug 24, 2014
Hello everyone! I am racing Ironman Louisville on August 24th to raise money for Hope 4 Africa in order to improve quality education in Africa.
The Ironman consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. My goal is to raise $5 for every mile I race. This ends up being $703, which goes a long way at our 6 partner schools in Kenya. $703 can sponsor 3 students for a whole year, sponsor a teacher 7 months, or buy 140 new books for the schools.
If you want to donate in relation to how many miles I'll be covering I'll make it a little easier for you!
Nickel per mile = $7.03
Dime per mile = $14.06
Quarter per mile = $35.15
50 cents per mile = $70.30
$1 per mile (if you're feeling extra extra generous) = $140.60
After starting a Hope 4 Africa club at the University of Missouri this past year, this has become a cause that means a lot to me. Your support is greatly appreciated by me, and our friends in Africa! For more info on what Hope 4 Africa is all about check out http://hope4africa.info/
