It's that time of year again! Over the last two years our local friends and family have stepped-up and donated over $3,000 to a cause that makes a very meaningful impact in the Gainesville community.
We are asking for your help again this year. Let's all chip in and raise as much money as possible to purchase bicycles for underprivileged children in Alachua County through the Junior League of Gainesville's Miracle on Main Street event.
For those of you who haven't participated in the past - the Junior League of Gainesville, a non-profit organization comprised of an extraordinary group of women in the community, holds a toy drive each year for 500 families, providing presents for over 1,800 kids!
One of the options is to sponsor a bicycle for a child in need around the holiday season - for every $60 donated, which is the price of a (really fun) bar tab or a few uber rides around town, you can totally transform a child's year with a brand new toy that is so far beyond their wildest expectations.
Whether you're still in Gainesville and fortunate enough to be in close proximity to the Swamp, or you've moved on to other parts of the country / world - it's quite clear that growing up in Gainesville has created a tangible sense of pride within us all. This is your opportunity to demonstrate that pride.
Please note that donations do not need to be in increments of $60 and you can donate whatever amount with which you feel comfortable.
Once you donate, the next step is to share this with as many people as possible in your networks so over Thanksgiving break, we can donate as many bikes as possible.
