I Reached My Goal!

BENEFITING: Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc.
Please take a moment to read about a place that’s very important to me. Founded in the summer of 1969, Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities provides residential care for 42 individuals, operates a school for Pre-K students and students with severe disabilities, provides respite care for families with a loved one with developmental disabilities, and provides early childhood intervention services for young children who are not meeting significant developmental milestones. No other organization in NC provides as many different types of services under one umbrella.
I am very fortunate to be a member of the staff at Tammy Lynn Center. I’ve been here for almost two years working in the development department. We all hope that our work will have a positive impact on someone’s life. I get that feeling every day that I step on the Tammy Lynn Center campus.
If you're a numbers person like me you'll be interested to know that the annual cost of educating a student with developmental disabilities is $4,000 more than a student without disabilities. Did you know that the cost of caring for a person with severe disabilities is $200,000 a year? I’m sure these facts never crossed your mind, but now that you know, I hope you can help us. Still need more information? If so, please watch the video on this page.
In honor of Tammy Lynn Center’s 46th birthday in July, I am trying to raise $1,000 by June 30th. Any donation is appreciated, large or small.
Thank you in advance for joining me in helping the 400 families in Wake County who rely on Tammy Lynn Center for programs and services for their loved one. Together, we can make a difference.
