BENEFITING: EXCHANGE CLUB OF EAST DALLAS
The East Dallas Exchange Club has been fortunate enough to meet Woodrow Wilson senior Michelle Pasillas. As a group we are trying to do all we can to help him achieve his goals. Below is a brief summary of what he is trying to accomplish and why we are trying to help.
Despite the many obstacles Michelle Pasillas has faced, he has still managed to keep a 3.2 grade average at Woodrow Wilson High School and maintain an incredibly positive attitude. This is despite the fact that he has been homeless since age and has been completely on his own. Michelle's father left when he was just a baby and his mother (still living in Mexico) has been supporting him with $50 per month. Other than that, he's had to figure it out on his own.
Not only has Michelle just survived, he has excelled. Currently, Michelle is a memeber of the Woodrow Wilson Varsity football team, he is a ROTC platoon sargeant, he is the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer on the Woodrow Robotics Team and has earned the respect of many of his Woodrow Wilson teachers with his mastery of Physics, Mathematics and Engineering.
Recently, Michelle was accepted to Texas Tech University where he intends to try out for the football team and continue his engineering degree.
Michelle has currently achieved several scholarships but is still well short of what he will need to attend Texas Tech. Please help us support Michelle. He is a kid that really deserves it!
