This past summer, I volunteered at a week long grievance camp for boys and girls who have experienced the loss of a loved one, be it a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. I never could have imagined the kind of community that was built around this incredibly fun weak at camp and also the process of grieving and healing. It was truly a life changing experience for both the kids and for me. It facilitates one of the most important things that we as humans do; be there for one another. At the camp, kids play, create, laugh, grieve, cry, dance, get to forget about their grief, and also face it in a very healthy and constructive way. I can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful things that happens on the earth, and would really appreciate it if you would donate whatever you can to help provide this unbelievable experience to more kids who have exprienced the death of someone vitally important to them.
