Organized by: roina mindeli
roina mindeli is working to grow his business, Experience the Caucasus.
is working to grow his business, Experience the Caucasus. Roina leads outdoor adventure tours as a subcontractor for larger travel agencies. He specializes in Georgia’s mountain regions, Svaneti, Kazbegi, Khevsureti and his home, Tusheti.
We want to raise 50000 dollars to create a professional website and buy a fewhigh-quality mountaineering tents.
Roina has already gained a reputation for his expertise and reliability, but a professionally designed, dual language website will give Roina’s business increased credibility to attract foreign clients.
As any good guide will tell you, weather in the mountains is unpredictable. Having the right shelters would provide a better trekking experience to adventurers. It would also allow roina to extend his season a few more months in the year.
Funds exceeding the goal will go toward additional camping equipment, such as cookware and a portable bathing facility, translating the website into additional languages, language classes for roina, and online advertising.
Even in the 21st century, with resources, like Lonely Planet, that make the world a much smaller place, to get the most out of Georgia, you need a guide. This is especially true for adventure tourism, which is totally undeveloped there.
Roina is completely committed to providing the best experience, possible, to his clients and sharing the many marvels his country has to offer. On top of being extremely capable and entertaining, roina’s drive to improve his community is second to none.
Roina earned 25000 USD last year and 15,000 USD this year. If he operates independently, he projects he will earn double that, approximately 10,000 USD his first year and 10,000 USD his second.
He plans to use the money earned through his business to grow, saving to purchase his own transportation and hiring and training staff so that the company can offer more adventures.
Roina also plans to use a percentage of the earnings to support cottage industries, such as textile and gouda production, in his village.
