As some of you may know, I have been "training" (limp...cough...wheeze) for the upcoming Los Angeles Marathon (my, ahem, seventh marathon and second here in Hell-A). Because I am getting out of bed at an ungodly hour, slathering on the Glide and slapping on the Nipguards, I like to raise money for a good cause. Most people just give money in the hopes that I will face plant on the tarmac somewhere down on the Sunset Strip. Others give because it's a good cause - like the one I am running for this year: Chrysalis. It's a Los Angeles organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals by providing the resources and support needed to find and retain employment (www.changelives.org). Sounds good, right? So, don't be shy -- please give generously and help Angelenos get on their feet, while I get blisters on mine. Thank you thank you thank you!
