Do you know any families who have experienced homelessness? Chances are you do and just don’t know it. 272 families including nearly 500 young children in Fairfield County experienced homelessness last year, and many of them never expected to be in a position to lose their homes.
Last spring, Supportive Housing Works and area providers such as Alpha Community Services, Homes with Hope, Inspirica, Operation Hope, and Shelter for the Homeless succeeded in preventing more than 40 families at the front door of shelter from becoming homeless. We are aiming to raise $250,000 in order to be prepared to assist families facing homelessness in the next year--- enough to help every family facing homelessness in the next year since it costs on average $1,000 to prevent a family from becoming homelessness through our fund.
Please sign up today to join the be homeful campaign to end family homelessness in Fairfield County. Thank you for your support!
