Faith Life Center
Organized by: Erin Kincaid
Counseling is one of the key ways that people heal from past hurts and learn how to become effective, healthy individuals. But, counseling is expensive and many people, often those who need care most, choose not to go due to lack of funds. The Faith Life Counseling Center will provide free and low cost services to those who need mental health care, family services and life transitions resources. Presently, one counselor is serving completely free of charge but we need a dedicated location and more hands to help with the work. This job is simply too big for one person. And the waiting list to receive services is growing larger every day. Life skills & financial education workshop leaders, counselors, marriage education teachers and parenting coaches are needed to help families all over North Texas. The funds requested will help to pay rent on a dedicated space that will allow for workshops and one on one counseling. Our goal is to have at least 4 counselors serving 20 hours a week and an additional staff for classes and evening workshops.
